The North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park is only open from mid-May to mid-October. The average elevation of Grand Canyon North Rim is about 8000 feet, 1100 feet higher than Grand Canyon South Rim. The road from Jacob Lake to Grand Canyon North Rim will be snowed in the winter. Normally, Grand Canyon North Rim is open from May 15 to October 15 each year when there is no snow on the road. It may be a little bit different for the opening and closing dates each year due to weather condition.
